A Journal Unveiled
Tbh, I don’t really know where to start.
I’ve had this idea since 2018–2019. Maybe even before I knew what I was trying to make.
For a while, I went the singles route. I loved it, but somewhere along the way I realized I was releasing songs just to release them. I wasn’t giving myself enough room to live, to experience, to feel, and eventually, to write.
So I stepped away.
And then life happened.
I traveled. I spent time alone. I spent time with family. I fell in love. I got engaged. I experienced things I never expected to experience. Some beautiful. Some painful. Some that I’m still learning how to put into words.
And somewhere in all of that, I started writing again.
A Year Apart: Journal One is what came from those moments.
Every song is a page.
A page from a place I was in, a question I carried, a feeling I couldn’t quite name, a memory I didn’t want to forget.
I don’t really want to tell you what you’re supposed to find in these pages.
I’d rather you find something of your own.
Maybe you’ll hear yourself somewhere in them.
Maybe you’ll remember someone.
Maybe you’ll remember who you were.
Maybe you’ll simply listen and let the songs sit with you.
Whatever you find, I hope you take your time with it.
